From our first breath to our dying one on this little planet, we journey through a full spectrum of experiences. We navigate the mountain tops and valleys, the highs and lows, and the joys and sorrows. We sit and weep through funerals, clap and smile at weddings, and hug at birth announcements. We anxiously wait for the call from the doctor’s office, eagerly wait for our child’s name to be called at graduation, and impatiently wait in a traffic jam. We feel the deep pain of loss, the anger of betrayal, and the thrill of love returned. Life can be quite the roller coaster of circumstances, emotions, and experiences. The Bible never glosses over the difficulties we inevitably go through in this temporary life; however, it clearly tells us where to keep our eyes focused.
Using 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Bill Coleman invites us to try on an Eternity Lens for a new perspective on whatever comes our way. Using stories from his own journey, Bill shows God’s desire for us to rise above our temporal circumstances and view life with an eternal perspective. You may laugh and cry, but by the end, you will begin to see your own journey through the lens of eternity and realize that “our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us a glory that far outweighs it all.”
If you read this book it may well change your life. You will discover that living with an eternal perspective in the real world is the most fruitful way to live life. You will walk with Dr. Bill Coleman through real life experiences that have changed the lives of people around the world. I highly recommend it.

I like the ETERNITY LENS by my brother Bill Coleman. First, it is well written and interesting. Bill is a gifted story teller and also quite witty. Second, it will bless, encourage and guide you to see life in the light of the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ and all that we have in Him. You will enjoy this fine work.

In C.S. Lewis’s “Screwtape Letters,” Screwtape reminds his young demonic protégé that his business is to fix his patient’s attention on the stream of immediate sense experience. Teach him to call it “real life” and don’t let him ask what he means by “real.” In The Eternity Lens, Coleman gently and winsomely draws the reader’s attention beyond the stream of sense experience to that which is real, the eternal.

This book gave great encouragement to me. I recommend it as a fundamental piece of reading for believers at all stages of their faith walk. It contains critical, biblical principles for every believer and follower of Jesus Christ, in helping us to understand the "bigger picture" of God's eternal work in our daily lives. It also gives joyful purpose to those difficult moments of adversity that God uses to build up and sharpen our faith and prepare us for eternity.

“The Eternity Lens” by Dr. Bill Coleman is an engaging book that provides a healthy biblical lens through which all Christians should view life. Coleman masterfully uses stories and humor to reinforce a biblical perspective of eternity and its impact on the way we think and live. It’s biblically sound, practically relevant, and I highly recommend every Christian read it and allow God’s eternal perspective to become yours here on earth.

Through story of family, sports, bars, missions, humor, international travel, life trials, and more, Bill effectively conveys the reality of the love of God in Christ Jesus. Eternal perspective resonates in my soul, and for that reason, I devoured this book in under 24 hours. Delight in Jesus Christ and His kindness, on display in the Bible. Let the glory of God infiltrate your everything, as you belong to the God who made you and saved you. “The Eternity Lens” will help. I heard most of the Scripture and many of the stories in conversation over coffee or pizza, and on one long (and enjoyable) car ride. I read the whole book in Bill’s voice. I attest that his life declares the same Truth his words speak from these pages. Live your life for Christ who loved you and gave himself for you. Love the Lord with your everything. Walk in joy.
